Durant une période de confinement où la météo fut exceptionnelle, j'ai imagé cette belle paire de galaxies:
NGC4151 alias la galaxie de l’œil de Sauron faisant référence au film le Seigneur des anneaux est une galaxie disposant d'un centre très lumineux (on peut y avoir les aigrettes du Newton se former) accompagné de bras spiraux très fins.
Sur cette image que j'ai mis beaucoup de temps à traiter, j'ai mis en œuvre l'arrivée de nouveaux processus tels que le fameux BlurXterminator et le processus MaskStretch aidant à bien contraster les bras spiraux. Comme toujours, les paramètres ont été ajustés au mieux pour conserver un aspect le plus naturel possible.

During a period of confinement where the weather was exceptional, I imaged this beautiful pair of galaxies:
NGC4151 alias the Eye of Sauron galaxy referring to the film Lord of the Rings is a galaxy with a very luminous center (we can see Newton's peaks forming there) accompanied by very thin spiral arms.
On this image that I took a lot of time to process, I implemented the arrival of new processes such as the famous BlurXterminator and the MaskStretch process helping to contrast the spiral arms. As always, the settings have been adjusted as best as possible to maintain the most natural appearance possible.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
